CAM X Lot 10 2023 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon FUTURES OFFER (6 bottles)

From producer Cameron Hughes:

With great numbers comes great responsibility! So, how about some Mountain Muscle?

Legendary Hillside vineyard? Check.
Insider blocks? Check.
90% new French oak? Check.
$200+/bottle price point? Check.
Producer bottling blend? Check.

Showcasing a combination of hillside meets mountain power, Lot 10 2023 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a huge, ripe, muscular combination of meaty yet high-toned Coombsville fruit (58%) blended with 42% of some of the Cabernet best blocks from the massive "vineyard that must not be named" that straddles Atlas Peak to Pritchard Hill (I used to source fruit from this vineyard so I know it well; however, to be honest, I was never able to work my way into these blocks as they were reserved for the who's who of consulting winemakers/luxury brands). Aged in~90% new French oak (Taransaud, Francois Freres, Seguin Moreau, etc.) and built for a $200+/bottle price tag, it easily has the stuffing to go 20+ years in your cellar.

Originally intended as a new, Icon-level offering for their portfolio (the program names are built into the lot codes), the producer simply wanted to reduce inventories and we split the final blend. The wine just hit our barn last week and goes into the bottle at the end of the month. There are approximately 200 cases available.

CAM X Lot 11 2023 Russian River Valley Chardonnay FUTURES OFFER (6 bottles)

From producer Cameron Hughes:

Get your fingers ready Russian River Chardonnay fans! Lot 11 is the wine you have been waiting for!

Sourced from a compendium of 3 different grand cru Russian River Valley vineyards (let's just say in the same league as Ritchie Vineyard), Lot 11 2023 Russian River Valley Chardonnay is a seriously sophisticated but decidedly delicious Chardonnay.

Here's the scoop, backed up with 2021 and 2022 vintage, the producer (from whom I have been buying for years) combined a few barrels from each of their $70-$80/bottle single vineyard designates into one blend for me. I paid about 50% over market for the privilege but I was happy to do so, the wine is incredible and still a mind-blowing value. If you love Russian River Valley Chardonnay, this is probably the best Chardonnay I have offered from this region.

Barrel-fermented in new french oak and them aged in a combination of one-year old and neutral barrels, the picture perfect 2023 vintage offers us an opulent, beautifully balanced (if not downright elegant), Chardonnay with chalky acidity carrying a melange of ripe orchard and tropical fruit with beautifully integrated oak. I should note, the producer sells their entry level Russian River Chardonnay for $50-$60/bottle and recently awarded a 93-point score in the Wine Enthusiast.

This is better juice here folks, and I suspect today you will find it significantly less expensive :-).
