Monmousseau Vouvray 2018Monmousseau
100% Chenin Blanc. For this semi dry wine in full youth, there exists a beautiful straw yellow robe. The nose and the mouth are very complimentary seduced by some sweet apple aromas which then goes to lime. A remarkable balance between a soft and very aromatic structure, and the elegant touch of bitterness of the Chenin Blanc grape.
|TYPE OF WINE|
Monmousseau is without question the Loire Valley’s most famous producer of sparkling wines. The winery was founded in 1886 with extensive vineyard holdings above ground and 15 kilometers of underground tunnels for fermentation and aging below them. Cremant de Touraine is something of a house specialty, as the were originally responsible for the creation of the Cremant de Touraine category.
This semi-dry Chenin is sourced from hillside plots planted on “Aubuis” and “Perruches” soil. Both of these soil types warm up easily with the sun and therefore make for a layered, rich Chenin Blanc experience in your glass!
