Chateau Monconseil-Gazin has been with the Baudet family since 1894 - over five generations. It is located in Plassac, near Blaye, renowned for its citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
In the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, the 35-hectare estate clay limestone soils have been nurturing vines since Roman times. The wines, blends of Merlot, Malbec and Cabernets, are appreciated the world over for their elegance, aromas and complexity.
A pioneer in sustainable viticulture in the Haute Gironde region, Jean-Michel Baudet is the first winegrower to fully certify his
vineyards under TERRA VITIS- the leading environmental certifcation in France. This commitment involves rigorous work from the vine to the bottle, framed by strict specifIcations.
It is the signature of an ecological will, the respect of the Terroir and Men, the guarantee of healty and authentic wines. A finely-tuned ageing in French oak barrels is the basis for the evolution of the great qualities of a fine red one.
The wines crafted are modern, as much for pleasure as for gourmet dining, and regularly rewarded and quoted in leading wine guides. Two hectares of whites, Sauvignon and Semillon, complete the range, as well as a small production of rosé. Deeply committed to the promotion of wine tourism in the Blaye region, Jean-Michel and his wife Françoise are delighted to welcome visitors all year round at the estate. Their efforts have just been rewarded by receiving a BEST OF WINE TOURISM Award 2019 for their innovative Wine Escape Game.
Clear smoked almond oak on the nose, this is ambitious, one for ageing although would also be enjoyable today with some carafing. A blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, this has rich seams of autumnal fruits and an enjoyable lift on the finish.

Beautiful bouquet of citrus nuanced with fine notes of acacia. Refreshing with vivacious style, the finish is nice and long with a slight oak flavor of almond. Serve 10-12°C. Perfect as an aperitif, or with scallops, white meat or fish with creamy sauce.
Ripe dark berry aromas with complex toasted notes of wood and vanilla. Rich and mouthfilling on the palate, with good freshness and tannic backbone. Long finish. Serve at 17-18°C. Perfect with red meat, game, rich sauces, cheese.

Born from Merlot, two Cabernets and Malbec, this wine reveals a nose with hints of oak as well as toast, smoky and coffee notes. The fruit gradually appear with freshness. The attack is round and supple, the wine is powerful, tannic, rich. Perfect with red meat, game, rich sauces, cheese.

Intense aromas predominantly fruity and floral, volume and freshness in the mouth. The label comes from a sketch offered by the famous cartoonist GUS (1911-1997) to thank us for his stay at the château in 1989. We pay tribute to him through "Mon Rosé" and all fans of the "farniente", a certain lifestyle and other little summer pleasures.
