Terre de Mistral was born from the union of 2 families the Gueury and Davico which both lived in the village of Rousset in the south of France near Marseille. They often meet to discuss their passion for their lives as farmers. They built Terre de Mistral to share their love of their craft and the Provence area by creating a wine cellar, an olive oil mill, a restaurant, and guided tours of the facilities, tastings and visits...There's many, many wines to taste here, and don't think that Provence is just about rosé. The contemporary history of the Davico family, find its roots through the grandfathers ‘path. One is a farmer in northern Italy, and the other one, vine grower in Provence. Each of our wines cuvee name, pays tribute to all the family members that contribute to create the “Terre de Mistral” Identity.
This is a visit you MUST make as the restaurant, the activities, the shop are all OUTSTANDING. In an atypical and warm location facing the famous Sainte Victoire mountain, in the heart of the mill and wine cellar, extremely talented Chef Sylvain DEVAUX makes gastronomic cooking with Provencal flavours. At right, a contemporary rendition of steak tartare - fantastic. Through his cooking you will discover the products from the farm (veggies, meats...) prepared with their own olive oils and wines and of course to try their wonderful wines with food.
Only 10 miles from Aix-en-Provence, if you are visiting Aix, you should stop here for a tasting. You'll be glad you did.
A delicate nose and unusually complex of citrus that reminds us of orange blossom and white cherry. The palate is complex, fruity and very fresh. A couture wine as a scent of spring, explosive while expressing a unique terroir!
